BMW E81, E82, E87, E88 - a compact car with rear wheel drive and longitudinal engine layout. The machine has a lot of common solutions with other models, e.g. MacPherson strut front suspension from E60 and the rear multilink from E90. Originally was introduced with five petrol engines: 1.6l (115 hp), 2.0l (130 hp), 2.0l (150 hp), 3.0l (265 hp) and a 3.0l with two turbochargers (306 hp) and two diesel power units: 2.0l (122 hp and 163 hp)
