Lotus Cars - British manufacturer of sport and racing cars based in Hetele, Norfolk, England. The company was founded in 1952 by Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman as Lotus Engineering Ltd. Initiallyб production was located in former stables in Hornsey. Since 1966, car production was moved to a modern factory near Hetel. The plant is located near the old military airfield, which was converted to test track. In total, 270 Elevens of all modifications were sold.
