The car was manufactured with both short and long wheelbase. All models had a computer system stabilization system against drifts, ESP and Brake Assist to help the driver when braking. W220 was the first Mercedes models, which had air (pneumatic) suspension Airmatic. Also, the machine had a radar system DISTRONIC, which maintained the desired distance to the vehicle ahead.
