VW Golf III (MK3 "Modification Kit 3") - compact car produced by Volkswagen from 1991 to 1997. Golf 3 came as three-door and five-door hatchbacks, wagon (Golf Variant) and cabrio. The model was first presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in 1991. Golf has become the most successful model of Volkswagen and is ranked 3rd among the best selling cars of the world (as of 2007, more than 25 million units are produced).
