ML 2006 came with 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission, optional adaptive front lighting system (AFS), bi-xenon headlights, "management" in the path of the vehicle, as well as height-adjustable air suspension. The new M156 6208 cm3 V8 engine could boast 510 and 630 nm of torque. Time from 0 to 100 km/h was reduced to 5 seconds and top speed increased to 250 km/h. AMG engineers had done enormous work on the suspension, which made ML 63 AMG nicer to drive, more stable and comfortable.
