The very first Altima rolled off the assembly in June 15, 1992 as a 1993 model year. The fourth generation Nissan Altima (chassis model L32A) was presented at the New York Auto Show in April 12, 2006. The 2007 Nissan Altima uses revised versions of the engines from the third generation models.
