The facelift for the Mk2 Focus Wagon saw a redesign that follows Ford's Kinetic Design program that was started on Mondeo in 2007 and in 2006 on S-Max and Ford Galaxy. The interior of the car received upgraded trims, a new dashboard with a new center console. The instrument panel received a new backlighting color. The 2008 model also saw the introduction of the Power Shift transmission, similar to Volkswagen's DSG
