GAZ-3102 "Volga" is a large class passenger car, announced in late 1981 by GAZ. It was further modernization of GAZ-24 model. Created as an upgrade of GAZ-24 it was planned to replace its predecessor. However, because of political and economic reasons it was not a massive car, and a limited edition (about 3 thousand cars per year) were produced as the official car of the Soviet middle managers. Therefore, besides the repeated upgrades, the issue of this model stopped just in 2009.
