Opel Kadett - West German compact car produced by Opel from 1937 to 1940 and from 1962 to 1992. Opel Kadett E won "Car of 1985 in Europe" title. The car came as 4-door sedan, 3 - and 5-door station wagon (also known as Opel Kadett Caravan), 3 - and 5-door HB, 2-door convertible and minivan. In 1987, the Korean firm Daewoo began production of licensed Opel Kadett E under the name Daewoo Racer, which lasted until 1995. Subsequently, based on Opel Kadett E a new model was developed - Daewoo Nexia.
