The car was produced by General Motors from 1967 to 2002. Firebird was introduced to the market the same year with Chevrolet Camaro, a similar model. From 1977 to 1981 Pontiac Firebird was produced with four square headlamps, while Camaro continued production with two round headlights, which were typical for the beginning of the second generation of both models.
