Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 debuted at the Paris Motor Show in October 1972. It was the most powerful version of the first generation of 911s. RS - German abbreviation fo RennSport - in honor of the famous, in the 50s, racing Carrera Panamericana, which won the Porsche cars competition. In the future, both names were used by Porsche and individually and collectively to refer to their naturally aspirated models. Carrera RS '73 is the last recent model in the first generation.
