Volkswagen Golf II (1983-1992) - second generation of one of the most popular 3 - and 5-door hatchbacks. Golf II produced not only in Germany but also in France, Netherlands, UK, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Japan and the United States. There is also an off-road version - Golf Country, produced in 7465 copies. Starting from January, 1984 GTI 8-valve engine (112 hp) went on production. in 1985 range extends with the legendary GTI 16V (139 hp), which is still considered the best modification Golf GTI of all times.
