Volkswagen Phaeton is manufactured from 2002 on Gläserne Manufaktur factory in Dresden, Germany. The assembly process is mainly manual. 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton, the updated sedan, differs externally from its predecessors in front part, the models' design was brought in line with modern Volkswagen's model range. Vehicle exists in "short" and "long" versions (5060 and 5180 mm), adaptive air suspension on all wheels and permanent four-wheel drive already present in the basic modifications. In addition to previously proposed gasoline 3.2-liter V6 and a 3-liter turbodiesel, it is possible to order Phaeton with petrol V8 engine (335 hp) and petrol W12 (450 hp)
