Bertone Mantide design is based on the Corvette ZR1. Mantide name translates from Italian as "praying mantis". The car was first presented in 2009. Also known simply as Project M. Mantide has better performance in comparison with ZR1. Overall vehicle weight has been reduced with the use of carbon fiber for all body panels, interior trim and even seats. Mantide is 100 kg lighter than the Chevy Corvette ZR1.
