Coronet received a redesign in 1966 and a facelift in 1967. Trim levels were Coronet, Coronet 440 and Coronet 500. The Coronet R/T was introduced in 1967 (two-door hardtop or convertible). Chrysler's Magnum V8 (375 hp) came as standard engine. Hemi engine, rated at 425 hp, was available optionally. Transmission choices were excellent heavy-duty three-speed TorqueFlite automatic or a four-speed manual.
