Sedan or wagon mid-size car (front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive), released in 1989. Legacy received a completely new engine series, called Subaru EJ engine, which was quieter than previous Subaru EA engine. The cars were equipped with many technical solutions, usually available only on more expensive models, such as electric windows, central locking, electronic fuel injection, air condition, headlamp washer, power steering, alloy wheels, independent suspension and disc brakes.
